How to get QUALITY followers
Getting people to follow you can be easy. But, getting quality followers is a completely different story. What is a quality follower? It is someone who is actually interested in your topic, AKA niche. Why is finding a quality follower important? Finding someone who is truly interested gets them coming back for more again and again. More importantly, it allows you to plug them into your offers which are catered to your specific niche. Even better than that, they will stick around even if you haven't posted in awhile.
Below are a few tips that I have used to gather over a 100 followers in less than a month. The more work you put into this the more followers you can get.
1. Develop your website
- Create your website with relevant content to your twitter account
- The more interesting the more likely people will stick around
- You will get followers to your twitter account and website
- Have several articles and resources for your topics to share with followers
- Always have something to share
- Its okay if the article is old or already past - some people haven't seen it. Think about how people always read the same magazine over and over, it doesn't change.
- Create several new posts or articles for your blog ready for the next two weeks
- This will free up time and not keep you scrambling each week for information.
- Daily is recommended
- 2-4 tweets, a reply to someones tweets, or responding to what was posted
- Be consistent with time zone
- Consider posting at prime time for EST
- This is to assure more people read your tweets
- Tweeting at 12AM in Hawaii is the same as 3AM on the West Coast and 6AM on the east coast. How many people will read your tweets then?
- Interact
- Find others who are consistently tweeting about your topic
- They are likely to have quality followers who may follow you
- They can help to provide insight and information to help develop your topics and website
- It builds loyalty which means followers! If people know you respond they'll follow and ask questions.
- If they are loyal and trust you they will retweet your posts and even help you find followers
- Stay on topic
- Nothing is more confusing than someone tweeting about random topics unrelated to what you thought you were following.
- And, the more consistent you are the better of you will be with followers looking at you being the official word on a topic
- Be consistent
- Skip a week and followers will forget you
- Don't worry if people are coming in bunches right away, "this is a marathon not a sprint."
- Once you have followers then more will be soon to follow with retweets
- Know your topics
- Be able to bring in fresh new ideas
- Comment on old ideas
- Have an opinion; though don't go overboard
- Have several articles and resources for your topics to share with followers
- Always have something to share
- Its okay if the article is old or already past - some people
haven't seen it. Think about how people always read the same magazine
over and over, it doesn't change.
- Create several new posts or articles for your blog ready for the next two weeks
- This will free up time and not keep you scrambling each week for information.
- Type in the search box above common related terms or trends that relate to your niche
- Find others who are tweeting about the same topics
- Don't copy them otherwise you have no identity and create no reason for people to follow you
- View the profiles of popular tweeters
- Look for
- EGGHEADS who are clearly following people only
- EGGHEADS who are tweeting questions or asking for help
- Followers of these individuals who are also popular
- Followers in need help
- Follow popular trends
- On trending topics, use them in your tweets
- For example: #Thefeelingiget
- I love #Thefeelingiget when I find a new dress
- #Thefeelingiget when I play volleyball
- I hate #Thefeelingiget when I lose
- I hate #Thefeelingiget when I see someone wearing the same clothing
- You will be surprised how you will attract followers with funny sayings and quotes.
- You will also find that you may be seen by so many more people because there are so many following that particular trend
- Feel free to use phrases that often appear as well - the past might come back
- Try starting a #newtrend by taking something relevant in the news or media to boost your tweets or followers
- This will create a better following for you
- Allows them to bookmark your page
- Get more traffic to your website that should have offers
- Keep track of people and send out emails to them keeping them posted about tweets, articles, changes, and of course offers available.
- Know what your followers want and figure out how to meet their needs with something that can make you money!
