Terminology

Stocks (Shares) - single piece of ownership within a company

Concepts

Moving Average (30 day/60 day/90 day) - This looks at the average price per share in a time frame

Trendlines (Similar to moving average) - Could indicate an upward or downward movement in a shares value. The trend is over a significant period of time (several days, weeks, months).

Candlestick Charting - Form of statistical analysis of stocks

Homework

1. Select 4-5 stocks
2. Find share price (Price may not be more than $100 a share)
3. May not have more than two from same industry (McDonalds and Burger King)
4. Short write up for each stock
